Practice
I’m an independent curator, writer, speaker, and advisor focused on contemporary art. In my practice, research forms the foundation of all projects and collaborations. Moving between contexts and partnerships, I create temporary platforms that foster artistic development, presentation, and dialogue.

Partnerships lie at the heart of my practice as an exhibition maker. I have curated exhibitions in collaboration with a wide range of partners such as museums (S.M.A.K., Bozar, Musea Brugge), art spaces (ISELP, De Tank, Zebrastraat), galleries (Les filles du calvaire, Sofie Van de Velde, Ron Mandos), educational institutions (Ghent University, Jan van Eyck Academie, KASK), governments (Flemish Government), foundations (Mondriaan Fund, Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds, deBuren) and entrepreneurs (Callant Insurance). From these collaborations emerged diverse exhibition formats, from white cube shows and biennales to pop-ups and open studios. Since 2017, I have presented the work of nearly 200 local and international artists to a broad public.
Rooted in an engagement with the visual arts, my writing practice spans multiple contexts. I have contributed to several catalogues (Verlag der Buchhandlung Walther und Franz König, A&S Books, Mercatorfonds) and written for various magazines (OKV, Metropolis M, TheArtCouch). My texts for galleries and museums have accompanied both solo and group exhibitions, while I have also written artist statements for portfolios and websites. From time to time, I am invited to take on more experimental writing challenges, from responding to open art-historical questions to composing podcast scripts.
Public speaking forms a meaningful extension of my practice. I have delivered lectures in museums (S.M.A.K. and Museum Deinze en Leiestreek) and educational institutions (Amarant and MOOSS), including 'Hatching the Curatorial Egg', an ongoing and evolving lecture reflecting on my experiences as an exhibition maker. In addition, I have presented lectures on late modern art movements such as Minimalism, Conceptual Art, and Arte Povera. Organisations can also challenge me with their topics of interest to develop a new insightful lecture. Occasionally I’m invited by galleries to give introductions for solo and group exhibitions, offering visitors context and insight into the curatorial approach and the artists’ practices.
For many years, artists, collectors, galleries, and institutions have asked my guidance to align their ambitions with strategic goals. These conversations often address complex questions or challenges that require a thoughtful approach. My advisory work begins with an exploratory conversation to ensure alignment and asses potential impact. When collaboration is agreed upon, a tailored framework is established, providing structured support and guidance. Every advisory engagement is carried out with the utmost discretion and a commitment to achieving meaningful results.
Grounded in both art history and education, my academic background combines critical research with curatorial engagement. I completed a Bachelor of Education in Mathematics and Project Cultural Education at Artevelde University College Ghent (2013), followed by a Master of Art History at Ghent University (2018). My master’s dissertation, supervised by Prof. Dr. Steven Jacobs, examined Raoul De Keysers early painting years (1964–1970). In the same year, I completed the postgraduate course in Curatorial Studies at KASK School of Arts, Ghent. Today, my work continues to evolve through dialogue, collaboration, and a sustained engagement with contemporary art.
