On October 20, November 24, December 15 and January 26, the lecture series 'Contemporary art, an exploration' will take place. The initiative was initiated on the occasion of the exhibition 'Private Passion x Public Mission' and is a collaboration between S.M.A.K. and Amarant. On these four Sundays, I will address four topics, minimalism, conceptual art, arte povera and postmodernism. The focus will be on the artists and their work that can be seen in the exhibition rooms of the S.M.A.K. In addition, there will also be attention for artists who are underexposed in art history. Finally, a number of artists with whom I have collaborated and in whom I recognize elements of the art movement discussed will be introduced.
