On May 18  Galerie P invited me to introduce 'Wanderwaves', the first solo exhibition of Joke Raes at the gallery.

With 'Wanderwaves', Joke Raes reflected the winding journey of artistic exploration. Her show encapsulates the fluidity and unpredictability of creative expression, akin to the perpetual rise and fall of waves. Waves have appeared in her work for some time, their dynamic nature serving as a key driving force. The notion of wandering refers to the emergence and dormancy of images during the night, evolving in a state that exists between sleep and wakefulness.
