Shifting Sceneries

At the end of the summer holidays, the first edition of GIST started in the Senne Valley. The art trail

'Shifting Sceneries' was the artistic backbone of this brand new multidisciplinary triennial, including literature, theater, culinary, music, and sports. The diverse relationships between industry, nature, and urbanization served as inspiration for the parcours.

'Shifting Sceneries' integrated new and existing works of 31 contemporary artists, both emerging and established artist from (inter)national scenes. The event unfolded across 8 different locations in Drogenbos, Ruisbroek, Halle, and Beersel. Each location was marked by a significant change in the recent past or near future: FeliX Art & Eco Museum, Domain Calmeyn, parish church Jan Ruusbroec en Onze-Lieve Vrouw, lock Ruisbroek, Albert park, Malakoff domain, former paper factory Huizingen, and Het Huis van Herman Teirlinck.
